Get a blessing from God without asking 1/2

When I was a student, I went to the UK with a few friends and we visited a famous castle. There was a "knight" there who was dressed as a knight of old and riding a horse. We saw someone going forward to him, spoke to him and they took a photo together. At that time I did not know I could also walk up to him and take a photo as well. So what we did was to take a photo with the knight in the background a few meters behind us. When he saw us doing that, he told us we should have come forward to take the photo with him. We are not sure if he was angry with us and being timid, we were quickly on our way.

We did not realized as students that the "knight" exists to take photos with tourists. He would have been glad if we went forward to have our photos taken with him. Since we were not sure if he will approve, we took a photo of him without his permission. And we did not get the best photo we could take.

What if that knight is God? If we are not sure about approaching Him to get a blessing, can we take it without first seeking His permission? Is it possible? Would God get angry with us for doing that? Did anyone in the bible did that? Yes, it is possible, and a person in the bible did just that. Continue reading to the end to see Jesus' response.
And a woman who had a hemorrhage for twelve years, and could not be healed by anyone, came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak, and immediately her hemorrhage stopped. And Jesus said, “Who is the one who touched Me?” And while they were all denying it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing in on You.” But Jesus said, “Someone did touch Me, for I was aware that power had gone out of Me.” When the woman saw that she had not escaped notice, she came trembling and fell down before Him, and declared in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched Him, and how she had been immediately healed. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.” (Luke 8:43-48, NASB)

In this story, no one could heal this woman and she got worse from all the treatments that also drained all her money. But she heard of Jesus and she knew that if she just got to touch the helm of His garment she would be well. She did just that and indeed she was healed instantaneously after 12 years of suffering. Amazingly she obtained her healing without first asking God for permission. She just took it. I am hard pressed to think of anyone else before her who did that. I always read about people coming to Jesus to ask for healing. Like the leper. Not obtaining it without asking. And the amazing thing is that she was successful. That means the Lord allowed it. The Lord designed it that way. If not she would not have been successful. Her desperation had led her, it seems, to God's secret. His healing is free for all to come and take. But at that time nobody knows to come and take but her, who had nowhere to go to. The crowd was there pressing on Jesus that day but they may have come and test Him out, to see what happens. That's why of all who touched Jesus, only her touch made the difference. She did not go there to touch, she went there to take.

She did something that I am not sure if anyone has done before or dare to do. We know she does not have the benefit of the gospels or Paul's epistles to learn about the grace of God. But what does she have? (cont in part 2)
